Refreshing one of Hong Kong’s most iconic nightclub brands.
A rebrand for a new-era of Play nightclub in Hong Kong. ‘Go Wild’ was one of the concepts that brought to life the themes, play and debauchery. It also then became the appropriate strap-line for animal head identity.
The project broke down into four phases; identity and collateral for the nightclub that included but not limited to, sub-branding for weekly themed nights (Thursday’s ‘House of Play’, Friday’s ‘Pandemonium’ and Saturday’s ‘Go Wild.’) A teaser campaign, from branded ice pops to speed boats. One-off themed parties that included, Halloween ‘Hotel for the Hollywood Afterlife’, Special Event ‘Gold Digger’, New Year’s Eve ‘The Menagerie’ along with fundraising events, Karen Leung Foundation, ‘Cocktails for a Cause’ and ‘HK Shark Foundation’. Plus the grand opening that consisted of luxury invitations and membership gifts that were sent to Hong Kong’s most elite crowd and dramatic entrance backdrop and posters.
“This was the first project I worked with Victoria on after being introduced to her when I was looking for a designer to work on this very large venue rebrand in Hong Kong. We were located in different cities and never met in person until much later down the line but it made absolutely no difference. Victoria was easy to speak to and always available on skype when needed – the distance was never a concern. In fact, I think it was easier to communicate with her than I have found with designers working freelance in the same city! After explaining our rebrand project for PLAY, Victoria presented the team and I with some great options that were all completely different and each great in their own way – it made it hard to choose one to develop! She has a great skill of listening to what you say and included everything we wanted to achieve, often going above and beyond helping us to develop our own thoughts on how to roll out the rebrand even further.”
